Hello and welcome. I am Jackie, I have wanted to be a therapist since high school, I took some twists and turns along the way, after going through some of my own “stuff” I found therapy to be so helpful in gaining insight into the origin of my issues, as well as deciding to navigate my life differently. I have a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and recently received a post graduate certificate in psychoanalysis (think Freud's theory, yes Freud! I am excited about it too!). I have nearly 10 years experience working with adults (18-64) challenged by a wide range of issues from mental health to problems of daily living. As a mom and career driven women myself, I enjoy working with fellow "mom warriors" who may be experiencing difficulty navigating motherhood, postpartum and balancing motherhood with career. In utilizing a psychoanalytic lens I believe that in talking about our feelings healing begins. In our work together clients can anticipate increased self-awareness, resolution of past conflicts, symptom relief, improvement in interpersonal relationships, enhanced self esteem and self acceptance. We may even explore some dreams, analyze patterns in your life and explore what in your unconscious may be needing to tell you. No matter what brings you to therapy, there is hope and I would love to help you on your journey to healing.
